Hello from the frozen hell of Canada - really, it´s not that bad today. I have one like yours. It hadn´t run for 25 years and when I bought it there were only 1700 km on it. The carbs needed a good cleaning, mainly remove the bowls and flush. Mine started nicely on fresh gas and a new batt. I´m no mechanic either. I love the bike. I think it´s a great machine for street or short road trips. The clutch is noisy as hell, but there doesn´t seem anything wrong with it. I am thinking of running synthetic oil. Suggestions welcome.
