My Kawasaki 550 LTD was running fine until the battery supposedly went however after changing and charging two new batteries the bike looses complete power after running for about 30 minutes. Is there a voltage regulator or an alternator that could be causing the problem the and how much would it cost and is this something I can do myself?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!
