I just bought a 1981 GN400 with only 4000 miles on it. I´ve gotten it to spark only twice. I got rid of the kill switch (spliced the wires together) to make sure it wasn´t the issue and I had the ignition coil and plug cap checked out. I replaced the spark plug. I´m using a 6N8-3B battery instead of the original 6N6-3B. Could it be that? or Could the stator or cdi have gone bad from sitting? it sat inside so there´s no rust and all electrical connections look great except the headlight low-beam is blown. WHY WON´T IT SPARK????
