I recently purchased a 1980 gs1000gl on the cheap. The previous owner had let it sit for about 5 years so the carbs needed a cleaning. I´m a pretty good shadetree guy so I jumped right into them. Needless to say everything didn´t go as planned. The float pin on 2 of them would not come out and I wound up with 2 broken carbs. I would greatly appreciate any info on where I can get replacement carbs for this bike. I´m looking for new if possible, but I´ll take any advice I can get, as looking on the net isn´t going to good. The clymer manuel says they are Mikuni BS34SS.
