i also took off my lights, but make sure you keep them. i wish i still had mine, right now i have my bike insured and its road leagle but i have to use hand signals....it sucks

as for taking them off...there all on plugs the front two are in the headlight, unscrew the blot on the bottom and remove the head light then unplug the wires that go to the signal lights(i think there green)then just unbolt the signal lights. as for the back... you have to take the battery cover off and you will find the wireing for the rear lights. theres a plug with three wires for your tail light and two green ones for the signal lights unplug the ones you want to remove then unbolt the lights and gently pull the wires from inside the fender.
