I found a 81 that the owner claims is a 250 and the engine does look like the pics I´ve seen but it has the single seat setup with the rear luggage rack like the 125 pics I´ve seen. The owner doesn´t know much about bikes and wants me to either fix it for him or buy it. It´s pretty rough and needs throttle cables, a key or new ign. switch and a battery. It doesn´t have the side covers and who knows what else I´ll find wrong if I take on this project. I used to own a bike shop so I´m sure that I can make it run but is it worth fixing? I can buy it for less than $100 (probably closer to $50) but I don´t want to end up with any more than $400-$500 in it including paint and missing covers etc. I had to give up my Harley´s a few years ago due to health issues and I´m just looking for something cheap to take out and ride a little now and then. I would really like to find something bigger like and old Yamaha 650 or Honda 750.
