How would you rate the accelaration of this bike?

I recently received this bike for doing some work for a friend and has been wrecked a couple of times and needs some serious work. It seems like it would be a hobby bike to restore, but I want to know whether it will end up being worth my time. The only motorcycle experience I have is with dirt bikes, so I´m wondering if this bike is going to be a worth highway bike, or will I be pushing it pretty hard to get it to 70?
