Hello... I´ve bought a used 1981 Special. The bike ran before I got it.... I cleaned the carbs and it fired right up. That was for the previous owner. I aquired the bike and have tried to re build the carbs but they have ended up either leaking when the float is set at 25 mm........ BUT the bike would run. Set back to 21 mm and the bike is hell to start.... and gives you a fit to keep running. Bogging....... occassionally backfiring out the intake. I think the mixture is too lean at the 22 mm float level. HELP ? Anyone having some constructive advice would be welcome. Thanks. Keep on two wheeling....... CJC |
