Cool beans, I had the same fixes you did though i have not had to fix the top end as you have. Mine is a semi dresser with the shark font fairing and hard bags. nothin like bringing the front end up in second gear and shifting to third at 70 mph. I got my XS850 nine years ago and it is a recreational rider say 500 miles to 750 a year. fixed the forks as you did. I use a synthetic oil. The damm thing is bullet proof. It is a classic 25 years old I ride to shows and everyone loves it. The truth is God rides an XS850.
