Just got it going after sitting for 13 yrs. Mechanic had to jimmy up the coil and I think it´s misfiring dur to that fix...says he can´t find a new one and that Yamaha doesn´t make them anymore. Apparently it´s an odd design and somewhat fragile and unstable. The bike sputtered and stopped on me on the way home, as if it ran out of fuel. Waited 2o minutes and started it up, it missed a lot for a minute or 2 then away it went, I was able to ride it home. Left it for a few hours then took it out on the highway at 120km for 20 minutes, great at the beginning but when I slowed down to turn around and dropped the revs it started sputtering again, had to work hard to keep the revs up all the way home, it was surging and lunging as I drove home. Waddayathink? Where cn I find a new coil?
