Buying 1980 Honda CM 400 T... thoughts? |

Hey Folks... I´m new to the whole motorcycle world... I am living in Chicago... found a 1980 CM 400 T for sale for $700. Has 7000 miles on it... allegedly runs well (checking it out tomorrow evening!) This will be my first motorcycle.. I´ve been riding a 150cc scooter all summer.. has been fun but really looking for a bit more power and some experience with shifting on a bike. I plan to use this just for the end of this riding season... or as long as I can stand the cold.. and starting to ride again once the weather permits. Once April rolls around I am looking to buy a bigger and newer bike for longer trips... Any suggestions on what I should look for to make sure this bike is a good bike that wont crap out on me in a couple of weeks? Are these bikes hard to find parts for? Anything else I should know?? Thanks! |
