HI, I just happened to find a great bike last night. I have been looking for a bike for two years. And last night i saw a 1979 Cm400. the owner was selling it for $50 bucks to the first taker. I looked at it and said this is for parts. and the owner came up and said it´s for whatever you want. he hit the kick start and the thing started right up. i couldn´t believe that he only wanted $50. he said he had not ridden it since 1983. and that he didn´t have the time or energy to invest in it. it´s a pile of rust. so restoration has begun on it. my question is. what gas tanks are compatible with this bike? i want to swap out the original as it is in extremely bad shape. it looks like someone took a bat to it or something fell on top of it in the old mans garage. plus i would like to equip it with a bigger tank |
