I am new to motorcycles myself but I think I really lucked out getting a CX. Mine is a 1980 model and it is 500cc. These bikes are extremely reliable based on everything I have read online and otherwise. I even had someone stop me on the way home when I purchased it to tell me what great bikes these are. They aren´t too heavy and they are very responsive. They have a very unique look from the V-twin engine. Clymer makes an excellent service/repair/maintenance manual, although my bike is 25 years old all it requires in routine maintenance. The only problem I have had is with the front disc brake and a mechanic told me that it locked up because the bike had been sitting for so long before I purchased it. These are beautiful reliable machines. Honda makes the best bikes and this is one of the best Hondas out there. Good Luck
