Not sure if any of you folks have removed your front tire, but on the left hand side between the wheel and the fork is the speedo pickup hub. When you slide out the axle and the wheel drops, the hub slides off the collar on the wheel. This collar is notched on top and bottom. The speedo hub gear uses those notches to turn the gear, hence turning the cable to the speedo gauge. The gear seized pretty well shredding the top of that collar. So now I have no speedo or odo. I believe I can find another pickup hub. What I donĀ“t want to do is replace the mag wheel just so that I can get a properly shaped collar to work with the hub. Does anyone know if that collar can be replaced without replacing the whole mag wheel?
