Well, it seems to be the carbs. Get them off and cleaned well, that should do it. But be careful - it is not as easy as it sounds! Second chance(to be checked first obv.): Check the rubber connections between the carbs and the cylinder-head. They shouldn´t be hard or broken. That´s one ofthe most common problems on vintage GS. Third chance: Check the airfilter pad. If you´re not shure - replace it! It´s a piece of cake and cheap. Sometimes it is just that what makes the differece! Fourth chance: Check the sparks. By the way - I would do that first of all if I were You ;-) Fifth chance: Check the..., well my english is lousy, sorry man, but waht I mean are the two little, mostly grey and cylindric parts under the fueltank, wich are producing the electric energy for the sparks. They are often rotten on vintage Suzis. Sixth chance: Check the fuel-switch and the fueltank(from the inside).
