I just came across this site and my 850 came to mind. I bought it used, 2 years old, and modified it, I took th bars off and put flat ones on. It took a few tries to find those that I liked. The seat cushion wore out so I shipped it to Sarge in FLA and had it redone better than new. I had the carbs jetted after adding a V&H pipe and a racing clutch. I removed the airbox and put 4 individual K&N filters on the carbs. I could hear the intake over the exhaust when over 70mph. I then had the tank and side covers shaved, filled and painted black; looked like glass and people would always ask what kind of bike it was even though I put aftermarket Suzuki stickers on the tank. It would do a 12 sec 1/4 mi @102mph - no wheelies or squealing tires. The only thing I wish it had was a 6th gear for OD. Gas mileage was horrible. I am 6ยด1
