Hi Bob,not sure which model you want,but the ST (second model) is the better,ie;factory rearsets(pegs),stepped seat,slotted discs,less complicated dash/speedo,slightly bigger tolerances in motor & carbs.Alot of parts are interchangeable across all the GS 1000 range.The hard parts to find for the S are original fairing (plastic) and their mirrors,black fairing mounted.Good steel seat bases and matching plastic trim.Good fuel tanks.A good site to look at is Alpha Sports.If you get a close to original bike you should be right if the above mentioned are good.I can sen you a picture of my old red ST if you wish.Cheers Mark.
