I have an old (vintage??) 1980 DT 125 yamaha enduro. It starts and runs well at mid range but struggles on the top of the powerband. I´d like to get it into tip top shape after many years in the garage. Any thoughts? jets are relatively new, but could be replaced / adjusted. however, not sure which jets to replace / adjust. also not sure what type / weight of oil to use. Wasn´t sure if I should use an oil for older motors. While old, the power? plant only has about 5,000 miles on it. time for a bore and stroke job? Obviously, i´m more interested in the cheaper fix, but open to whatever. thanks! jg |
