Leaky oil seals |

Hi, this is my first visit here and I was hoping to get some info from people who would know more about my current situation than I do. I picked up an ´82 Maxim 400 Heritage Special for nothing and I would like to use it as a 2nd bike, if possible. The main issue I´m having is that it has a serious oil leak. Unfortunately, I´m not an expert and I was hoping to get some help here. The previous owner gave me the oil seals´ part numbers (93102-09245-00 & 93102-12106-00þ) and I now have them in my possession. My question is, do I have to split the case in order to get at these seals? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks. |
