This is my first time to view this forum. I have an 850 I picked up a few years ago as a some day project.

I bought a ´78 XS750E new in May of ´78 and rode it for 20 years. I believe the two bikes are esentially the same, save for the increase in displacemnet - and the engineers fixed a few things; like the out of round middle cylinger than caused it to consume oil. A week after purchase it was fitted w/ a Vetter Windjammer SS fairing and Krauser bags. I could have had lowers, but $´s at the time said no. Just never added them. Wonderful fairing. I am sure many are still available. Getting the proper mount might be an issue. There is a website I have seen w/ the instillation instructions for the various vetter fairings.
