I would gladly sell my 1981 XS 850 Special for $1699.00 delivered. This bike is so solid, I would ride it one way to anywhere (except Alaska or Hawaii) . . . b.t.w I just saw an 850 sell locally at $1599.00 (but no windshield, no luggage rack w/locking box, no saddle bags, no upgraded upper and lower fork bearings and seals and the original tires.) Mine has all the above with recently rebuilt carbs with K & N Foam air filters, and recently replaced brake pads. These are all things that you will have to examine if you do get a classic motorcycle. My 850 is tight!
