There are a couple op problem areas to check.

I had trouble with the tail light socket getting sloppy and ended up replacing that. Check the tail light using the front brake.

Another spot to check is the connections to the brake light switch. It is in a spot where it collects lots of dirt and may be corroded. I had to cut back into the harness to get good wire and put on new lugs.

Check up under the fender to be sure the harness has not been caught on the tire and dammaged.

Do you have a wiring diagram for this bike? I can scan mine and send it to you if you need one.
