Gages Slow To React

I bought a CX500 Custom after sitting in a garage for about 15 years (stop me if you´ve heard this one before). Anyway, I´ve got it to where it´s running fine with a little tweaking left to do. I´ve noticed that the speedometer and the tachometer are both VERY slow moving - taking a long time to get to where the readings should be. Any ideas what´s causing this? I guess it´s no big deal, but would like to get them working properly. Cheers.
