If it will roll along while in gear and the engine is turning over then it appearantly isnĀ“t totally seized up. Put it up on the center stand. Take the spark plugs out and rotate the rear wheel. Engine should turn over easily. This should spin the engine. Use your thumb or finger and check for compression at the spark plug holes. You will be able to tell if the cylinders are making compression by simply feeling the compression against your finger in the spark plug hole as the engine is turned over. Thumb compresssion on both cylinders? Yes? Then the problem is not a seized up motor. Possibly an electrical problem! Check this site for an excellent electrical troubleshooting chart for motorcycles. http://www.electrexusa.com/electrex_fault_finding.html Good Luck. Dogrocket |
