I have a 1979 Honda cx 500 custom

I have a 1979 Honda cx 500 custom

I have a 1979 Honda CX500 custom that has been sitting in a garage for about 10 years and I bought a new battery for it but all that happens is the radio and horn work. There is a line with a fuse at the end and I need to know if it is postive or negative because I have it hooked up to the positive and that is all that happens. I have no ignition at all. If anyone out there can help please do.
