I own and RIDE a 1979 CX500 Custom, and I really like it. I have done a few minor mods to my bike to personalize it. I tooke the "sissy" bar off the back and mounted the rear signals to the frame. I had the tank and side covers painted Black Cherry. I plan on getting a touring seat and having the fenders dechromed and painted Black Cherry, also. I have ridden other bikes and I honestly think that the CX500 handles as well, if not better than, all of them. If you have done something off the wall to your CX500, I would love to hear about it!
