| Hello one and all thinking about purchasing a box stock 1979 GL 1000 std. I notice that according to tech specs, the hp is only 78 while earlier ones.. 75/77 are rated at 84 hp. ... interesting Also.. is the 1979 model year still geared fairly "tall" in the rear end? I had a 81 GL 1100 that was geared really low in the rear end.. got lousy gas mileage above 55mph John |
