Just picked up an 84 900 ninja today. Drove it home 50 miles through rough traffic in St Paul MPlS area to Ramsey, Burr it´s March, didn´t see a single bike. So far awesome bike for it´s age. Friend just totaled my 2002 yama fz1 last ride last season. Bought 2008 klr 650 with insurance. Decided couldn´t live without liter class acceleration. Bought an 86 honda vfr 700 for cheap to try and satisfy the acceleration urge since the 650 obviously wasn´t intented to do that. Rode it once yesterday March 13 2008. Great bike, Smooth, Stable, Easy to ride, Quite fast, But.. Not that arm stretching power you come to crave after a few years on a newer liter class bike. Well the Ninja met my needs I was looking for an inexpensive comfortable old school rocket. My 50 mile ride home was just as comfortable if not more than my fz1. No it´s not as fast but it´s gotta be pretty close, not sure. Either way I´m excited to get to know this beast, or should I say beauty. I´m already falling in love.
