Tim, I am by no means a mechanical expert however I currently own my 3rd GPZ (2 900R´s & 1 1100) The bike I have now is a fully restored 1990 900R and it looks like it has just come out of the showroom. I really enjoy it (as I have done my others)it is a joy to ride and I have had no major mechanical problems with any of them over the years. I bought my current bike for $2800 unregistered from Victoria (I am in NSW)with 11,000 km on the re-conditioned engine. I too had been without a bike for a number of years and I found it easier than I expected getting back on it. I was 44 when I bought it. My only regret now is that I don´t ride it enough. Patrick |
