Well, a couple months ago I realized with the price of fuel, I would do something I always wanted to do, by a motorcycle for back and forth transportation to work, thinking not only would I save money on gas, but also enjoy life sitting on two wheels for a change. Wasn´t looking for anything in particular, just something older and set my price limit to 3000 Canadian. Being one year short of over the hill, plus the fact I haven´t riden a bike since I was fifteen I truley was looking for how shall I say,....."an Old Man kinda bike"! Off I went searching the ads. As I learned more of what was out there, my mid life crisis started to kick in and decided to focus on a "SPORT BIKE"!!! Still thinking modestly, I had lined up a 500 Kawasaki, out of province only to find he sold it on me by the time I got there. Disappointment set in, only to be replaced by determination! So I picked up the morning paper saw 11 new ads and decided I would leave town with a bike in the back of my truck no matter what!!! Didn´t take long, in fact, it was the only bike I looked at. Yes there are a couple scratches, the gauges are discoloured a bit with age, but man there are only 12000 klms on it!!! So I bartered with him for two minutes, got him down 150 bucks, settled on $1500.00 even, and he threw in a new helmut! Pleased as punch with my barganing ability, I handed him the money, and he said,... "do you realize you just bought the fastest production bike built in 1984"?
