Alan, check the coil and wire from coil to the plug and the spark plug wire cap. Check them cold and use a hear drier or heat gun to warm them and check them again with a ohm meter. if those are ok then check the igntion pick up, also hot and cold. e-mail me if you like and tell me the results.
