I am the proud owner of a KLR600B,i,m restoring it to its former glory, powder coating it etc,,,,,

One problem i have is the cooling fan/having replaced the,Fan,Relay,
Heat Sensor, and Thermal Switch,,,,,i cant get the damn thing to work,i have earthed the radiator,
just one question,,,,,does the "Heat Sensor" in the top of the Head, have to be screwed in the Whole way,as the old one wasn´t,and when installing the new one,i couldn´t get it in all of the threads, scared to chew the alloy head,i left it half in.
is this ok????
thanks
Bob
