Hi, just signed on. Regarding that click, could be a bad battery - typically last 3-5 years. Try jumper cables from your car battery.

My experience: I own an ´84 FXST - best bike I´ve ever owned, purchased in ´05 from 2nd owner. My 7th. 1st a new ´65 Kawasaki 125, 2nd a used ´64 Honda 305 Superhawk, 3rd a used ´70 BSA 441 \
