Sounds like an interesting project. I´m not sure how complex the electrical problems might be. Do you know if it is electronic ignition? Electronic fuel injection? It might not be worth doing if it requires a computer and some sensors. I saw a very nice Gold Wing junked out when the computer died. The manager at the Honda shop said the parts would be about $3500. That was about what the bike was worth in good running condition. I hope I am wrong. I think they are a great bike and would really like to have one. Would you like to sell it for parts? If I eventually get one, I would like to have a parts bike to service it from? Wish you the very best of luck whatever you decide to do. I just hate it that Japanese bike parts or so expensive. A lot of nearly serviceable bikes just get junked. Sincerely, TMC |
