I too own a Flame Glide. Second owner bought used in ´86´. Less than 2000 miles. I agree when it comes to parts even the Harley parts guy knows nothing about such a bike. Another interesting fact, you can check yours to verify. Beings the evo motor was a bit tall than the evo they had to cut the frame at the bottom of the seat post and stretch the frame. If you look, can be hard to see, there is a cut thru the frame. They called it, split frame seat post. Also have heard they dubbed this evo as the million mile motor. I know I have done nothing but beat this bike up and it won´t stop. I used to look for a Flame Glide when I used to go to Sturgis but never had any luck, but ironic that I lived in a small town in Iowa and a good friend of mine also had one.
