I recently bought a 1988 Electra-Glide and the touring bags on it are original and they fit loose and the latches rattle like crazy. Is there a common sense fix I should be able to figure out? Can I replace the latches? Can I hard mount them instead of using a push and twist fastener? I think they just show signs of being 22 years old and need a little TLC.
