Hi, this is the same bike that I started with 10 years ago and I wouldn´t sell it for anything. My bike is also all orignal to the best of my knowledge. As far as the value is concerned it will continue to go up every year. I would not recomend this bike for everyday use but it might be a good investment. If you want an every day rider then you need a newer model with at least 5 gears. I paid $2900 back in 1986 but you could expect to pay at least $10000 now. Anything more than this and you can buy a lot more bike. AMF wasn´t known for building reliable bikes and finding parts at the Harley store is almost impossible. I would like to see a picture of the bike particularily where a radio would go in the faring. Mine has a radio with a factory antenna but would like to confirm with the bike your looking to buy.
