Electrical problems on my 2000 Ultra Classic. A short summary is provided below. Stator fails at 3,083 miles. Stator fails at 16,665 miles. Stator fails at 29,889 miles. Voltage Regulator fails at 29,946 miles. Stator and Voltage regulator fail at 40,000 miles. Fuel pump relay fails at 41,357 miles. It is obvious my bike has serious electrical problems. The dealers I have taken my bike to for service do not know the cause of the problems I have endured since I bought the bike. How can one live "the Harley Dream" if one has no faith in the bike they ride? Being out on the open road causes me constant anxiety and worry..."when will it fail? Can I get help?" This persestent worry has essentially kelled any pleasure I used to get from riding my Harley-Davidson bike. I traided a 1997 Standard the same sidecar and more light and didn´t have any problems. So could you please help me. Bill d´Happart |
