| I purchased my 2007 FLHTCUI new in 07, and had the Harley Stage 1 kit, true duel exhaust, and Harley version of the Power Commander installed prior to taking delivery of the bike. Everything was fine for the first five years, but the last two summers I have been experiencing an intermittent problem. Some days the bike will crackle and pop when I let off the throttle, and on other days it does not. When it is in it´s crackle pop mood one common denominator is that the bike will not idle. If I roll to a stop with the throttle at idle the bike will stall. I have tried turning the bike off, and back on to alleviate the problem but to no avail. The frustration is that it just won´t squeak when I take it to the Harley shop! I even left it for a week, and the wrench rode it to and from work for the week. Of course it ran fine. Just returned from a week trip, and the bike had one entire day where it cracked, popped, and stalled? A little dicey when leaning around a corner at idle and you lose power. Our mechanics seem to be miffed, and of course the reply is bring it back when it acts up. I know that can´t just throw parts at a problem to fix it, but living with it for two years now is getting to be a little much. Any insight would be appreciated. |
