I have 20k on an 09 flhtc since new and find the MPG better then the last 3 flhtc models I have owned. I switched to this model in 91 so have 20+ yrs of flhtc and the 09 is head and shoulders better then the other 3 I had, including one that I put 65k miles on. On the road loaded down in the western states I have had some 50 mpg rides at about 50 mph in mountains. It is a wonderful touring bike.
