Erik, The only suggestions I have would be to replace the points system and KEEP UP WITH REGULAR OIL CHANGES. You should have many trouble free riding miles. I installed the Fireball HI-4 single fire ignition, Crane single fire coil, 8.8mm plug wire set, good plugs and Fireball start boost relay. All this solved my plug fouling, performance and starter drag relatively cheap !!!
