After many,many years of wanting a Harley, I finally made the decision to buy one after attending Bike Week in Myrtle Beach, SC. After visiting the Harley dealership in Greensboro, NC I was pleasantly suprised at the pricing of the new Harleys. I opted for the 2006 Softail Standard after some comparison. I now have around 700 miles on the bike and have only one complaint. The right side passenger footpeg is located directly above the rear exhaust pipe. On a recent ride with my wife, we discovered a burnt heel mark on my new Screamin´ Eagle pipes. We discussed the matter before riding, but it was impossible for her to keep her boots off the pipe. I have ordered a peg mount that is 1 1/2 inches longer than the stock one, but it will take a little engineering to install. Overall, I couldn´t be happier with the bike. I know I have very few miles on it now, but the riding position is perfect for me (6´1\
