I just bought a 2005 Sportster 1200 XL Custom with 7066 miles on it and it started it the other day. the belt came right off before i could even get it in gear. I have one on order at the Harley shop but have no way of getting my bike to them plus they charge 100 dollars to install it. i dont have much money but have lots of tools and would like to install it myself if possible. i wasn´t given the owners manual and was wondering if it needed to be tightened to a certain torque or whatever else i need to know about installing a drive belt. thanks scott
