| Hi, just bought a 1200r in march and I really love this bike!. Got mine 2/16/07. I´ve made a few changes, like new pipes, conontrol fuel moduel, and air kit.It sounds better and is more responsive....(smile).... V&H slipons. Harley Race Tune Kit. Stage 1 air cleaner kit. It is responsive but surges at low neighborhood speeds (25-35) no matter what gear. Runs best under load, the more load the harder it runs!! Bike only has 645 miles to date 4-6-07 Mine has 2600 miles as of July 27 2007. I´ve been told the bike will get better in power and in the way it runs by 2500 miles... Absolutely true. Mine runs like a beast. Winding, hilly back roads in fourth gear are a blast. I was told synthetic oil might make a Sportster noisy compared to stock Harley oil. I will change oil now and again at 5000. I´m going with standard HD oil every 2500. I hit about 90 and the front end started to dance a bit. When that happens to me I find that I am gripping the bars too hard (white knuckling) and need to relax and let the bike \ |
