Hi, I´m looking at a 2000 Sportster 1200. 3K miles, one small problem. There´s a small amount of motor oil setting on the top of the horizonal section of the engine in 2 places; On th right side, below the forward cylinder and just below the large allenhead screw between the cylinders. I don´t believe the gasket between the block and right side cover is where the oil is coming from. The dealer said that "When they´re not run, and just sit, they will do that". Not sure I entirely believe that, but more over, the price is good and if there is an easy solution to the leak, all the better. Thanks, dk |
