I have a 1985 GPZ550 and it is going through gas like crazy. Whoever owned it before me had drilled out the covers for the pilot screws on the carbs. The bike I have had factory set screws that were not able to be adjusted until whoever it was messed with it. I need to know how many turns to turn the screws back. I used the setting for a similar model but it still seems to be running too rich. If anyone knows what the setting should be, I would appreciate it. Also how many miles to the gallon should I expect to get, roughly? The bike only has 12,000 miles on it and has been taken pretty good care of. I think I am only getting something like 18 right now. Thanks.
