I have an 83 V65. bought as a refurbish project. after much work and expense,i realized the compression was low. Bought a 85 engine w/ good compression, trashed the junk exhaust and installed new Mack 4 in to 1 header. the specs call for much smaller main jets in the 85 engine ie:120 and the 83 carbs have 140 jets. The problem is, the bike has a flat stumble around 5000 G and the warmer the temp outside the worse it runs. On a cold day (low 50´s) it runs almost perfect. Too Rich,so what jets should it have? Thanks for any advice! Jim
