Quick intro about me. I´m a 17 year old apprentice machinist and I have been restoring my 1982 CB250RSD on my own for about 7 months. I have managed to fix it up and it passed MOT and was on the road for about 2 weeks and then it was having some issues. It cut out on me twice while riding and then was a slight pain to start back up but I thought nothing of it to be quite honest. Then one morning I went to start it up for work and it just wouldn´t fire. Checked the spark plug which was fine as its pretty much brand new. Looked at the spark I was getting and it was a very thin blue spark but i´m not getting it every cycle. I have replaced the ignition coil and i´m now getting a stronger spark just still not on every cycle. Although I have restored the majority of the electrics on this bike, this one has got me stumped. The resistance from the pulser coil is within tolerance, so is the resistance for the ignition coil. Alternator and stator appear to be fine and I tried a second CDI unit and it gave the same outcome. Can anyone Help?
