maybe its the decompression thingie having something to do with it, but, maybe youre not at top dead center when you are starting it, either. push the kickstarter down slow until it feels firm then stop (and dont go too far or you have to set it up again) and let it recoil back to the top, because this is the spot to kick it from. other than that, just bump start it. or, if it wont fire, make sure the choke is adjusted from the bar just right, because it can be finicky. and, if it doesnt start after a few kicks, with you all messing with the choke and all, put it on its side for a second to drain the carbs out, because its flooded. hell, i hate starting the thing when its cold. i just roll down a hill and bang it into 3rd or 4th.
