I have purchased a 1985 Sportster XLH I beleive. It is all original as the seller stated. he was the second owner of the bike. It has 18K miles on it. I think it is a rare model. The tank and fenders are bright yellow with a slight hint of metallic. The tank has Harley-Davidson in red letters. The tank is the stock small peanut type. The thing that makes me confused is the pipe are black. The pipes are stock and have not been painted after the fact. I have never seen Sportster pipes that ever came in black The writing/letter on the pipes indicates the pipes are stock. The previous owner said he bought the bike shortly after it was new from the original first owner. The bike has original cast aluminum wheels as well. Everthing appears to be stock. Can anyone help me find out if this is a special model?
